Getting There

Southards Pond Park is located at the intersection of Southards and Pond roads in North Babylon, NY. The park is easily accessible from the Long Island Expressway (I-495), and there is ample parking available.


The park features a playground, picnic tables, grills, a basketball court, a baseball field, a fishing pond, and a nature preserve. The nature preserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, turtles, and fish.

There is also a walking trail that circles the pond. The trail is open to both pedestrians and leashed dogs.

Check out Nathaniel Conklin House when you’re around the North Babylon area. The house was built in 1797 by Nathaniel Conklin, a Revolutionary War veteran. It is one of the oldest houses in Babylon Town and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
