NB Hood is a neighborhood in North Babylon, NY. It is bordered by the Babylon Turnpike to the north, Straight Path to the south, and Long Island Ave to the east. The neighborhood is named after NB Hood, who was the first postmaster of North Babylon. The Hood family were some of the earliest settlers in the area, and their farmhouse still stands on Straight Path. NB Hood is a primarily residential neighborhood, and many of the homes date back to the early 20th century. There are also a few small businesses, including a hardware store and a pizzeria.
